Next.js vs Other Frameworks: Why I Choose Next.js for Clients

If your team has been production-ready in Laravel for 5 years with a mature system, switching to Next.js just to follow trends is a bad decision. Switching cost > benefit in this case.
❌ Very Tight Budget
Next.js developers are usually more expensive than WordPress developers or PHP developers. If your website budget is below $300, WordPress or a builder might be a more realistic choice.
❌ Highly Specific Projects
- Mobile app? React Native or Flutter is more suitable
- Desktop app? Electron or Tauri
- Real-time heavy? Might need a dedicated backend with WebSockets
Next.js is a web framework. Use it for what's actually web.
